Why didn't Casper resemble his human form, like Dr Harvey did?

When Kat's dad died, his ghost had clothes, hair, glasses, and the same voice. Casper was just a white blob with a cartoonish voice. Why oh why?

Because of time. The villain lady kept her hair too because she was freshly dead too.

Because the character has been around since the 40s/50s and that's how he always looked - they couldn't change caspers whole look for the movie.

reply

Quite so, otherwise he'd be unrecognizable. A better question would be why did his human form sound different from his ghost one? Human Casper sounded a bit older than ghost Casper.

reply

I think the OP is correct; the longer they are dead, the more they lose of themselves and look like generic ectoplasm. Like losing their memories and stuff. This was also just an excuse for Casper and the Ghostly Trio to maintain their normal look: because they'd been dead for many decades.

Because then he wouldn't look like the Casper the cartoon character, silly.
