Dated film: How far we have come in women's rights

Seeing this dated film, I'm glad we have come so far in women's rights. Carrington's life in this film is always formed by her relationships to other men. She paints, but we don't see her fighting for her career, and we don't see her relationship with other women.

That does not make this film dated in the least bit. What a silly posting. As if historic films are supposed to express the latest developments in society of today or any other time instead of the time and people it deals with.
