Where was this filmed?

Where was this movie filmed? I just loved one of the housed in the movie!

the McDonald's is in City of Industry. It's actually a McDonald's that is solely used for commercials and filming. It's a real McDonald's, but when they aren't shooting there, it's surrounded by a high fence.

Most of the houses are in Pasadena.

The main house in the movie is in Beverly Hills. At least the inside of itis. An old friend of mine from High School was at USC at the time, and the producers approached his girlfriend's parents in BH. They moved the family out for 3 weeks and put them up in a posh hotel, and paid them some ridiculous amount of money.

If you're in the area and want to check it out, it's located on Green (which curves around and exits back onto Gale) off of Gale ave between Azusa Ave and Hacienda; closer to Azusa. During filming folks have been known to pull into the drive-thru thinking it's a real McDonalds.

The first post is correct. The one about the Beverly Hills address isn't. This person might be thinking about another movie, since the whole schedule was like five or six weeks. I worked on the movie. Paul Reiser's house was in Hancock Park. The only Beverly Hills action was at Gary David Goldberg's house, for the exterior wedding.

We spent a lot of time at the McDonald's shooting store in the beautiful City of Industry. It was blazing hot on the tarmac, and Paul Reiser spent a lot of time in his trailer writing, I think, Couplehood. Every day at 5 pm they gave us McDonald's fries. And all the food served there is genuine McDonald's, but all we got were the fries.

The house where the party is, Matthew Modine's house and Randy Quaid's houses are all in Pasadena or Altadena. Janeane Garolfolo's house is on Courtney in Hollywood. I always wondered how she got back in, too, but figured that maybe she just spent the night with Randy.

Either that, or she's still wandering the streets, looking for Mr. Right. Really, I suspect "looking the keys in the house" was just a ruse anyway. I'm glad you at least got fries, though.
