When I was a little boy my family used to watch TV productions of famous musicals on TV. I wish this would happen again. Why can't the networks (like PBS) restage some of these classic musicals. So many of us would watch them. "The Wiz" is an excellent example. Imagine! two generations have grown up thinking that that Sidney Lumet debacle is 'The Wiz'. It's a tragedy.

Michael Jackson IS/WAS the Scarecrow in more ways then one and I don't mean that in a nice way.
Anyway they mocked that up real bad.
Like to see Whoopi Goldberg do a black HELLO DOLLY like Pearl Bailey did back when, she's old enough now.
