'Honestly Sincere' number not to be missed!

This is the funniest scene ever. In the original film the boys are there to protest Conrad kissing Kim and they mainly catch the girls as they faint during Conrad's song. In the tv version the boys get as excited as the girls from Conrad's singing and they faint too! (lol) There are 2 or 3 African-American boys who really get into their parts. They're making faces at the girls and dancing and fainting all over the place. Of course they stick out because everyone else is White except for fair-skinned Vanessa Williams. But all of the boys are flailing their arms at Conrad and fainting right along with the girls. It's really funny!

Just for the record, I'm not a Dude, I'm a Dudette!

I just watched the scene and the boys do catch the girls, but I did notice a mailman passed out in a tree, no less. The only one I noticed who was conscious was Hugo. Maybe the mayor too, not sure. But Hugo seemed immune to Conrad, because he was concentrating on Kim. If the mayor was conscious, it was only because he was taking care if his wife.
I think the message was that Conrad was bad for teen-agers, but in the 1963 version you don't see the fellas give in or swoon like the update.

The 'Honestly Sincere' number is my favorite scene in both movies.
