Streep is a great actress, but she plays an Italian? I dont think so.
If she was from eastern europe it would be a good match, but the apperance, the apperance and dialect is sadly poor.

I'm Italian. Most of the time we think of Italians as being dark haired, dark eyed but there are some that have light coloring. At first though, I thought she was Czechoslovakian or something.

There are many Italians that look white. I am Turkish, and my sister looks white. she has blonde hair and blue eyes. she looks like my mom, my mom has blonde hair and blue eyes. my mom is Turkish. i look like my father, tanned , dark hair , hazel eyes.
so you cant say, Italians have to have dark hair and tanned skin
