Robert The Bruce NEVER turned on Wallace. So *beep* Mel Gibson and the pathetic excuse of movie makers who sided with him. I don't hate the English. I love a lot of English actresses and they love me. The ones I've come into contact with on social media. This movie pedals a mentality towards people who think the media tells it like it is. Braveheart is a pile of inaccurate *beep* I kind of wish it wasn't. But it is. So it can rot!.

Braveheart is definitely not historically accurate, at least no more than The 300 is.

300 was pretty accurate in terms of the basic events, certainly more than Braveheart.

Great movie Braveheart great director Gibson great actor Gibson love it to bits..own it watch it repeatly...its a movie to entertain not teach history.
Cant wait for blood father. MEL GIBSON CAN DO NO WRONG.

Honestly...I don't give a flying f--k about historical accuracy. A good film is a good film.

As has been stated, I agree that it's a terrible history lesson, but still feel it's a great film.

Well, it's not a documentary is it? I'm sure half the stuff in The Great Escape Never happened either but it's a damn good film.

Actually, if you just subtract the Steve McQueen character and everything he does, which was a complete invention, all the rest of it is actually pretty close to Paul Brickhill's book about the Stalag Luft III escape.
