What movie was she watching?

In the scene following Whoopie being examined by the prosecution while on trial, Robin is watching a movie on TV, it seems to be a guy in a military uniform picking up a girl and carrying her out of a building with music playing. Robins mom comes in right after that to talk to her about everything.

What was the movie on the TV? I've seen this movie parodied on The Simpsons before and in other sitcoms, but I have no idea what this original movie was. Does anyone know?

The movie is called An Officer and a Gentleman. Its with Richard Gere and Debra Winger.

the film you are talking about is Richard Gere's An Officer and a Gentleman awesome film... bitter sweet if you will

As other wrote, it is the happy ending of An Officer and a Gentleman. I think it's use in this film is very suggestive, as that happy ending is really what Robin has always been hoping for and dreaming of but what she is never going to get in real life.
