Important Film but not real

This is an important film for many reasons. First, it has incredible production values, great direction, and an excellent cast. Most gay films suffer in these areas alone. In this respect. gay youth need a film in which that can see (and identify) with other gays on the same playing field as their straight counter parts. The problem here is that these are not real scenarios. The "boys" are incredibly good looking and suffer from fear more than anything else. In today's world and even in 1994, most pre-adult teens feel more like the "Fat girl" in the context of today's social systems. These films are more like fantasies and there is nothing wrong with that. This is more a long the lines of "American Pie" than anything socially relevant. And, once again, they are great films and very entertaining but, as with all movies, fails to say anything about the social or emotional aspects of being gay.
