Reasons why I liked Bodily Harm

Dear all,

Of course we're not talking about Se7en here but this movie "Bodily Harm" has its charms.

The reasons why I bought it (on VHS), watched & liked it :

- In June 1994 I was travelling to the US for the 2nd time (I'm from Switzerland). We visited Las Vegas and stayed at the Sam's Town Hotel-Casino (I loved it). So I feel connected to the movie for that, because I was in Las Vegas when they shot the movie, kind of. I was 19 back then :-). So the movie allowed me to see the atmosphere of 1994 again!

- I love 1990's flicks that aren't very good but acceptable. So by reading the IMDB page of "Bodily Harm" I also thought it was one of those movies. And it is ! I think the acting was more than good but indeed, the screenplay & the mise en scène is a bit lazy. But hey, it's a 5.1/10 ! It's the kind of movie you feel like you could fall asleep when watching it because it's not that bad if you miss parts, but actually it is smart enough to keep you awake and searching for answers.

- This movie is not available on DVD/Blu-ray (I'm a movie-buff/hard fan of DVD/Blu-ray, don't talk to me about downloading movies ;-). I thought it was really, really cool to buy a good old VHS from 1994 again! It reminded me of the NBA VHS I was buying back then in the nineties. Yes, I'm really nostalgic, even if I love 2016 ;-) I bought the VHS of "Bodily Harm" on E-bay and watched it last night. The quality of the image was good & the sound was very good.

- The nineties was the best decade ever! :-p

- Linda Fiorentino is a very mysterious faced actress. I'm not into those sex scenes much, I prefer subtility/guess what is happening scenes, but her face, her look is indeed very attractive.

- I'll give "Bodily Harm" a 5.4/10.

Voilà !

You all have a great day!
