In BCaP twice as many boys as girls are killed and this pattern is also pretty much the same in other films with child murders involved and often are the murder of boys depicted more vicious and direct than girls murders with one exeption - axe-murders!
Of all the axe-murders I througsout the years have seen in films only a few of them are on children, but for some reason it only seems to be a fate for girls to be killed by an axe:
I know of three titles withe axe-murders on (small) girls, namely:
Beware: Children at Play (1989)
The Child (1977)
Black Past (1989)
I know only one title in the IMDb were a small boy is killed by an axe and that is "The Mutilator (1983)" but apart from the scene in question is a dream sequence then the boy is killed (with the axe) in the manner that his throat is slit by the blade of the axe.
Do you know of any other films with axe-murders on children, or do you have any "favourites" among these rare axe-murders?
