Who would Joel Schumacher have cast had he made Batman (1989) and Batman Returns?

Somebody on Batman-Online for instance, said that he probably wouldn't have gone with Val Kilmer as Bruce Wayne because he might've been a little too lesser-known back then to be considered. Not that Val Kilmer wasn't a "name" in the industry in 1989 since he already had stuff like Top Secret, Real Genius, Top Gun, and Willow under his belt. But Joel Schumacher admitted that he wanted to work with Kilmer after being blown away by his performance as Doc Holliday in Tombstone, which came out in 1993.
