I have been pondering that question for the past 23 years.
Same with Batgirl in B&R the filmmakers wanted to include as many characters as they could.

shareHappens a lot in comic book movies where they have too many characters and not sure why they are there.
shareBut the movie contradicts its own message. If Batman was supposed to have learned that its OK to open up to the idea of having help and then all it ends up doing is making his job harder then that's a pretty stupid idea.
I understand that during the course of the film Robin saves Batman twice and vice versa but I'm talking about the finale.
