Schumacher Bat films were only like a bad comedy with the villains
Not all way through.
And all the villains in Forever and B&R were portrayed as botched horrible Joker knocks offs with endless laughter and puns.
It's like having everyone in the MCU trying to be Robert Downey Jr.
shareThe villains were all kind of one dimensional, with the exception of Mr. Freeze's change of heart in "Batman and Robin" (1997). Guess the filmmakers didn't want to want to have flesh out too much time of backstories for them, preferring to get straight to the action between Batsy and the antagonists. This worked for The Penguin's origin in "Batman Returns" (1992), where only giving a little bit about him said a lot (the infant/cage scenes).
