What an awful movie, and Carey and Jones sucked

Jim Carey and Tommy Lee Jones were both miscast, and they both did a lousy job--Val Kilmer was fine as Batman, but Joel Schumaker really screwed this up, as he did Batman and Robin

The only characters who I thought were half way decent were Robin and Alfred.

The reason why Schumacher is still to blame even with the studio meddling is that he was behind all the truly stupid casting choices, all his actors were nether playing themselves(Carrey, Clooney and Schwarzenegger), overacting(everyone playing the villains) or underacting.

reply

...all his actors were nether playing themselves...

Huh?

Annoying the world since 1960!

reply

I thought Carrey did fine as the Riddler, OK mix of menace and humor although a few moments were excessive, while Jones, despite being alright casting, indeed did a bad job.

reply

You bunch of losers, I completely disagree.

reply

Two Face and Riddler sucked in this movie, in my opinion they were worse than Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy.

reply

Tommy lee did alright, as he didn't over stepped like Jim Carey
watching carey was another Ace Ventura just in Riddler costume
which was annoying as hell

Tommy lee actually seems to me as best character here
Jim was more like "tag on" character, and most hate was shown from 2face

but the whole childish stupid scenes and other actors
disgusting... joel wrecked batman totally

reply

I did not hate Carrey, but Maybe Nic Cage could have been better as the Riddler?

I don't think Jones was a bad choice for Harvey Dent if you think about it he the perfect actor for the role, its the script that screwed him up

Class is Pain 101. Your instructor is Casey Jones

reply

All the villains in Forever and B&R were portrayed as botched horrible knock offs of Jack Nicholson's Joker with the endless puns and laughing.

reply

Casting for iconic characters often work when you cast lesser known actors which seems to make it more appealing, usually cast a lesser known or newcomer for Superman.
