Better than Batman v Superman?

At least according to the Rotten Tomatoes scores...

reply

Even audience members seem to love it.

Rotten tomatoes gave Indiana Jones 4 and Prometheus high scores.

Based on what I've seen of Batman v Superman I can't find the interest to see it. I feel the same way about The Dark Knight Rises.

Might you be interested in an Affleck Batman solo movie TheButlerDidItYes? Especially if it's a different tone to MOS and BvS?

reply

I like both but I prefer Forever. It really is underrated.

- Bruce running away and falling into the cave during his parents funeral is one big thing
- Seeing Zorro (its different from Burton and established in the comics but there are the only two films to explore it)
- The Giant Bat. I know people are saying it's Man Bat but I think it's supposed to more of the "giant scary bat figure" that is Batman. Also when I saw that scene the first thing that come to mind was "what kind of a person has a Bat on the Brain"
- Two suits. I know batman has a lot of suits but having a Second special suit later on in the movie reminded me of the 2 suits per movie in the Schumacher era
- Cinematography. it's kind of silly but they do share some similar cinematography with the off balance shots and such

I prefer this to "BvS".

Annoying the world since 1960!

Hell no lol BvS are finally the movies I've been waiting for since the 70s. BvS is highly underrated. Justice League is finally here, can't wait. Forever is a great movie for 1995 but once Burton left it went the wrong direction.

There were a lot of things wrong with Batman v Superman. Batman Forever, while not flawless, was a whole lot better and rewatchable.

Batman Forever is leaps and bounds better than BvS, but that is purely subjective. One factor in the popularity of this and infamy of BvS is that when BF came out, the internet was not ubiquitous, so it had not become popular to 'hate' on a new movie nearly like it is now.

That said, I like Forever more; BvS is too joyless. Everyone mopes around scowling all the time. I don't mind a dark superhero movie, but there has to be some light moments here and there, and Batman Forever is lighter, thankfully not as campy and annoying as its sequel B&R

reply

I actually like both.

BvS has flaws but its way better than this soulless neon nightmare.
