Brendan Fraser was originally the voice of Steele...

...but they replaced him with Jim Cummings even after he (Brendan) had finished recording. I wonder why.

Anyone think they should have just kept Brendan, or did they do good using Jim? Anyway, I wonder how the film would have been if Brendan's voice had actually been used. (Then again I am biased since I adore Brendan (who doesn't lol))

Anyone have any thoughts/opinions to share?

I'm actually glad they went with Cummings. I love Brendan, but I don't think Steele would have been as nasty wit his voice. Cummings did a good job.

I really liked Cummings as Steele, but Brendan Fraser wouldn't have been awful at it. I wonder why they changed.

Every voice-over Jim Cummings does is awesome! I'll bet no one can name something bad he's done.

"noone" being your nickname, I suppose.
Jim Cummings is one of the best and most famous voice actors alive (I'd place him second after the immortal Frank Welker).

Supermodels...spoiled stupid little stick figures mit poofy lips who sink only about zemselves.

I don't think Fraser could sound "evil" enough, really...

Jim Cummings FTW!

I would have not liked the movie as much as I do. I love Jim Cummings and I hate Brendan Fraser. Jim Cummings can sound threatening and Brendan Fraser can't really exert much emotion at all really. *Opinion plz don't flame*

The stamp of mediocrity!

Jim Cummings is better than any performance Brendan Fraser could give.

Good. Brendan's not bad, but he wouldn't have been anywhere near as good as Jim Cummings in the role. Steele was a very cliched villain, but Cummings nailed it as Steele's voice. Cummings gave him the right amount of malice and arrogance that perfectly suited such a character.
