A different side to the middle east

As an American it was nice to see another side to the middle east. It broke stereotypes, and I loved this movie as a kid. I felt like I could relate to them.

Naturally you will not see normal people doing normal things in the news/media.
They will show you only the psychopaths from the middle east.

To be fair, the same thing can probably be said about any region in the world. You won't really see people doing normal things in the news because normal things aren't really considered newsworthy.

People are people wherever you go. I still think the middle east is the most socially and politically screwed up place on the face of this Earth, and good riddance to it.

But the film was kind of interesting to see. Good movies of all stripes show you the good side of people that you can relate to.

it is a charming film, like you, i felt i could relate to the people in it.
