NOT Harvard!

As Todd is running through campus when he is late for an interview with Harvard, you are lead to believe it is Harvard's BEAUTIFUL campus that he is running through. In fact, he is running through Polk Place - the main quad on the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's campus...which is very beautiful, but need not be mistaken for Harvard. "Harvard Admissions" is plastered over the doorway of Carroll Hall - a large lecture hall, not an office building. Couldn't let this go...I love Chapel Hill too much to let people believe such a pretty place is Harvard!

Actually, I attended Harvard and it was a very attractive campus. Unfortunately my Internet connection has not allowed me to get to that scene in the movie yet.

I have never been to Harvard, nor have I been to Polk Place - the main quad on the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's campus.

According to IMDB Filming Locations: New Hanover High School - 1307 Market Street, Wilmington, North Carolina, USA, so I am sure you are right.

I have been living in Las Vegas for the past 30 years. I remember a TV series when I was in high school Vega$ (1978–1981). Robert Urich AKA Dan Tanna would be driving down Fremont Street, he makes a left turn and he was at the Desert Inn. The 30 years I have been here, I still have not found that shortcut. Desert Inn is 5-7 miles from Fremont Street. When Vega$ was made, that part of Fremont Street was 2 ways. When I got here in 1985 that part of Fremont was 1 way, now it is the Fremont Street Experience and only foot traffic.
