I honestly thought the man Kristy saw at the amusement park on her birthday WAS Patrick. The actor looked almost exactly the same. Did anyone else get that impression?

That theory would make this movie 10x sadder! Imagine Kristy's own dad pretending NOT to know her at the park! All b/c of a job position he didn't get.
