What was Rex talking about?

I want to know too. "We carry the bloodline of the ancient Bahou." I think he was naming a breed, but I searched and came up with nothing.

I always assumed it was some legendary (at least to sheepdogs) sheepdog. Some epically amazing sheepdog. Like a canine Hercules.
