very much like a romance novel

This movie played like a romance novel. It was very good for a TV movie and keeps you interested the whole time. I liked the way the story unfolded. The characters could have been 1-dimensional cardboard cutouts, but everybody had a personality, and a reason for acting the way they did (the dad). I enjoyed this movie.

Actually, the movie is based on the book "At the Midnight Hour" by Alicia Scott (better known as Lisa Gardner). She is more of a suspense writer than romance. Once I find the book and read it, I will let you know how much it plays out like a r-novel.

I was finally able to watch the movie from start to finish and I did end up really liking it.

I bought 3 DVD sets with 12 Harlequin romances, this movie is one of them.
