Most on screen deaths of any movie?

I was reading the trivia and learned that the re-cobbled cut has more than 1000 on screen deaths. Is this a record? If not, the 15 minute destruction of One Eye's Army sequence has to hold the record for most on screen in deaths in the shortest amount of time. Even Lord of the Rings didn't show that many orc deaths.
