“Apollo 13” will be re-released to 600 North American theaters on April 5, 6 and 8, nearly 50 years after the liftoff of the ill-fated 1970 space mission.

Fathom Events, Universal Pictures and Imagine Entertainment made the announcement Wednesday.

It makes me feel awfully old to think that the movie is now equidistant in time between the actual crisis and the present day.

I guess that was cancelled. Headed home 50 years ago today. Accident was on 13th, landing on 17th.

I would have liked to watch it in the theater again.
