Sequel?

sk8ingirl, what would your plot be for a Tom and Huck Sequel?

Um, Mark Twain did write a sequel. It's called The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. The plot is more adult based than the first book,wich I think suits Huck's character. The Novel deals with prime issues such as slavery and human dignity/integrity. I much prefer this novel compared to the first. There are obviously movie adaptations out. The only one I've seen was the version starring Jeff East in the main role; I thought he did a decent job. It seems with the film's ending though that they tried to keep the adult themes strong unlike the book, which turned back towards the original feel found through the first novel at the arrivial of Tom Sawyer.

I always thought they should have done The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn as well with the same cast. Brad Renfro was way better than Jonathan Taylor Thomas in this film.
