shareHa! Good question. If my memory serves me correctly, he doesn't even die like that in Twain's book -- he dies after getting stuch in the cave for too long.

Maybe he ended up in China. I remember when I was about 6 or 7, me and the kid who lived next door to us started digging a hole in the ground after a teacher or somebody had told us that we'd end up in China after digging completely through the Earth. We finally quit in disappointment after digging a couple of feet or so...LOL.
