Just my opinion. Could also be because somehow I saw this one before the first one and didn't get around to seeing the first one until many years later.

Still love both though!

I liked it better too. It doesn't seem as crude as the first one which no doubt disappoints some people but to me that's a definite plus.

To this day I've never laughed so hard in my life at anything as the rhino scene.

I agree, rare sequel that outdoes its predecessor.

I agree. For some reason I found this one even funnier than the first! (minus the devastating raccoon death scene, of course)

Agree. This was way better than the first. Its one of my top ranked comedies. Jim Carrey at his best.

I don't know, it's hard to say because they're so different. I saw both in the theater, actually saw the second one on my first date. So I might be a little bit more nostalgic about that one. But as a football fan, and an especially big football fan at age 13/14 when the first film came out, I've always loved the plot/setting of the first. But I think the second one is more laugh-out-loud funny. It seems a lot more focused on comedy and gags than the first movie, which I think focuses on the plot/case a little bit more.
