Jim should make another Ventura flick -- its too funny not to make if it showed him returning back home to the states?

As much as I would liked to have seen it. Its not happening, and by now I think he is a bit too old for the role, the 20th anniversary for the first one is upcoming.

Closet we got to a Ace sequel is the Ace Ventura JR

Also Jim Carrey said he will not ever do a sequel again. He says it's not near as fun as the first time.

I'm grateful for Carrey's honesty. Ace has run its course. Carrey is tremendously talented, but he needs to find a better vehicle for his skills than more of the same.

Carrey is very talented in non-comedic or dramatic roles (Truman Show, Eternal Sunshine...) but he's not at all funny. I hate him in comedy movies. The only good comedy he ever did was Dumb and Dumber, and honestly Jeff Daniels was funnier in that film than Jim Carrey.

I'm never usually a fan of endless sequels (unless it's done well, which often it's not) but I'd love to see Jim do a new Ace Ventura film. I highly doubt he will, though.

I would love to see another Dumb and Dumber or Ace Ventura, I grew up loving Jim Carrey comedies, starting with In Living Color 20 yrs ago. However, it just wouldn't be the same - the guy's turning 50 soon. Even though he could still pull it off and make it funny, it's hard to imagine a middle aged Carrey running around like a goofball as he did back in the day.

Well, despite his advancing age he was able to pull off another Dumb and Dumber, so anything's possible!

I love both Ace Ventura movies but I think it's been way too long to make a plausible 3rd movie. I like when movies don't feel the need to make sequels just to grab money

Well looks like there is soon a sequel for Dumb and Dumber so I hope there will be another for Ace Ventura. IMO AV is much better than D&D
