HELLOOOO - any Parents letting thier kids watch this movie???

Since there's no information in the Parents' Guide section, and NOT ONE of these 30 or so posts mention ANYTHING about whether it's appropriate for children and if so, what ages, I figured I would be the first person to ask the question about this supposedly 'KIDS' MOVIE:

This movie is widely considered to be a KIDS movie; this movie is rated PG-13. Logically, these 2 things don't add up.
My boys (ages 6 and 5) saw the first 3 Ninjas movie and loved it. I didn't find too much "inappropriate" stuff in that movie that you don't usually find in most PG-rated movies geared towards kids.
But 3N Knuckle Up is rated PG-13. I've never known a "kids" movie to be rated PG-13 so I was wondering - WHY IS IT RATED PG-13?!? Can any of you many (surprisingly non-parent) 3 Ninjas fans out there tell me please?
Better yet, ARE there any other PARENTS out there who have seen this movie and can tell me if it's appropriate for a 6 year old and/or why it's got a PG-13 tag? THANKS!

It's no different than any of the other 3 Ninja movies. There's no blood or any extreme violence. The worst parts of the movie are when the kids (as well as a younger Native American girl) are getting messed with and threatened by a group of cartoony villains.

This movie came out in that period of time when the MPAA was being ridiculous with the ratings system (well...more so than today). Just look at the ratings descriptor. "Nonstop Ninja Action"? Show it to the six-year-old. He'll love it.

Eh, that pretty much works for me. You're probably right. From what I read, the "non-stop ninja action" just seems a bit much and over-the-top, but I guess not too "violent," per se. The rating system is always a bit skewed. Guess I'll use my Parental Guidance and make the call!
Thanks!
(I was watching the original Planet of The Apes the other night and saw on my digital cable indicator that it's rated 'G' - gotta love that!)

Yeah, it says it's PG-13 for non stop ninja action. I'm letting my 5 year old step son watch it, turns out his mom already let him watch it. No worries here. It's not like it's Chuck Norris or Steven Segal ninja action. *note, I am not a 3 Ninja movie fan.
