The people in charge had the perfect concept, to tell the story of all the years Simba was away from home. But they chose to do a show just about Timon and Pumba. Wasted opportunity if you ask me.
shareTrue, but I'm glad that there were several episodes that did involve Simba, those being "Shake Your Djibouti", "Congo On Like This", and "Rome Alone". He also made a cameo in the Timon & Pumbaa Music Video of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight".

To be honest, I would have preferred that. A show that had a similar tone to the 80's and early 90's series. Less grating and slapstick, like "Gummi Bears", "The New Adventures of Winnie The Pooh" and "The Little Mermaid".
shareI loved the first two seasons of the show, but I like the idea of a show devoted to those three characters as well. It could have been done shortly after 'Lion King 3', another wasted opportunity.
