Just got the box set

Possibly the best christmas present ever!
I haven't watched it since it was on bbc2 or channel 4 (I can't remember which one it used to be on!) holds up really well!

Spooooooooooooon!

Does your set have all 3 seasons, in one case?

Sure does :)

I'm in the US and they haven't released a Season 3 DVD set. Anyone know why they got it in the UK? It seems especially odd they'd do this because it was made in the US.

reply

Maybe it had a higher demand here in the UK. Other than that I'm not really sure.

No clue, but I did notice that myself, that the UK season 3 was out but not the US one. I'm still waiting for it myself.

The UK rights are different than the US and copyright laws are different. This is why some of the Region 2 dvd's of American shows include original music, while the Region 1 sets have substitutions.

Lucky bastard

Just pick up a cheap multi region dvd player and buy a UK box set. If i could invite you all round for a Tick marathon I would.

Could you provide a link to the site you bought it from?

Belay that!
I just found a US boxed set & ordered it. Here, my friends.

Hey Rogerscorpion, what's the DVD set like over at ToonDiscs.com? Are they real DVDs or DVDRs?

I also see they have a Blu-ray version too. I can't see The Tick benefiting much from the Blu-ray format, but perhaps it looks a little better than the DVD version.

80 dollars! Get out of here...
they really need to release season 3. I have the other two. on that note, they really need to release the end of the conan the adventurer series.

Laugh it up, fuzzball.

I have a clarification question for a response that posed earlier in the thread, someone asked if the R2 set of the complete series was all in one case and the response was yes they are. My clarification on that is, are they all in individual dvd cases inside of the case or one big dvd case that holds all the discs like the R2 complete series of Spiderman the animated series from the 90's?
