Jumped the shark after Angie's Turn

Until "Angie's Turn" the show was nicely focused on Harper's bizarre luck, then it became a soap opera where Harper is looking for his family with an occasional occurrence of strange luck.

The aweful music could fill its own discussion thread.

I disagree. the music in this show was awesome! The use of LIVE's "Lightening Crashes" in the episode "Last Chance" was inspired. I still get chills every time I hear it.

Oh. My. GOD!

I have told many people about the use of Lightning Crashes in that scene. It was absolutely staggering. Cannot believe someone else was hit by that one as well.

Thank you for paying attention!

And yeah, the rest of the music was tremendous. I think the soundtrack choices for that show are perhaps the finest I have heard.

I also will never forget the Lightning Crashes scene. I've told several people about it too. Every time I hear that song I think of it, and get tingles down my spine.

Same here. It was that scene that got me hooked on the show

Agreed. I remember when this show originally aired. I was out of high school, and, working nights at a photolab. So, I missed the "Last Chance" episode when it originally aired. I just recently caught it. WOW!!! I don't think I have ever seen an ending that good on television ever. And, the Lighting Crashes by Live just added to the intensity. I don't think Strange Luck was given too much of a chance. As, I remember it being switched time wise. I would love to see this show either

A. put on Dvd.
B. somehow brought back to its original form, and glory.
C. Someone in putting out a show that is similar to this one.

Honestly though. I think this show is in a catagory all of its own. And, like with John Doe, and so many other brilliant shows that Fox swung that axe and let fall. This show will have to live on through the internet, until the corporate suits realize what kinda of fan base they have for this stuff. Then, release it on DVD. Keep your fingers crossed.

For over ten years I considered that episode to be the single best episode of any TV show ever. "Lightning Crashes" made that scene.

reply

Yeah every time I have heard that song I think of this show and that episode.

Not to mention all the music in the "Walk Away" episode, esp. Jann Arden's Looking For It (Finding Heaven). Great stuff and a great show to the last ep.
