Missed eps with the Hirogen. Are they on par with the Borgs? If they're chasing dn Species 8427, I imagine they're possibly beyond Borg Tech!
shareThey were hunting one single member of 8472 that had been injured in the fight with the borg, its ship damaged. The hirogen simply possess a lot of firepower, and some high degree of cunning. They also know how to team up. This is why Voyager had such a hard time with them.
Theoretically, the borg would adapt to the hirogen quickly, and even if the hunters were able to destroy one borg cube, dozens more would soon arrive to assimilate the hirogen.
In later episodes it is shown that some members of the hirogen race were assimilated, though this is in conflict with things Seven of Nine said.
I felt that the Hirogen were even scaring looking than the Borg.
