Is Voyager Always Good?

I have been watching Season 4 of Star Trek Voyager and i really like it, i like Kate Mulgrew as Janeway, probably the best actor in the whole Star Trek franchise, I really like Jeri Ryan as Seven Of Nine, she is my favourite character in the Star Trek Franchise and Robert Picardo is great as The Doctor.

I was thinking of buying Star Trek Season 1-7 on DVD is it always good? As in from Season 1?

I love Season 4 so far, 'Scorpion', 'The Raven' and 'Scientific Method' are great

Is Voyager as good before Seven Of Nine arrives? She is in Season 4-7, i wonder is the show good before she arrives?

All of the ST series have weak seasons and episodes. IMO, seasons 4,5, & 6 were the best for VOY, but the other seasons have episodes definitely worth watching.

You might consider becoming an Amazon Prime member. With membership you get all of the Star Trek series for no additional cost.

Yes. The first seasons were good too, although there are a few weak episodes, such as "Threshold". The upcoming seasons are also good, but again, there are some weak spots. My biggest complaint is that the characters lose a lot of their development. Meaning, a few of the characters change, and it's for the worse, in my opinion. Basically, by the time Voyager ended I was glad to see it end.

Not even remotely. The best actor of all Star Trek is of course Leonard Nimoy as Spock.

Specifically the character of Cpt Janeway sufferes from bad writing a LOT.

Yes EMH and Seven are the greatest characters on Voyager.

How different would the show have been if Genevieve Bujold had come onboard as Janeway? Anyone know why she changed her mind? Wiki sighted taping schedule! I can't think of much going on around that time! The last 2 movies I recall she starred in back then was "Tightrope" and "Dead Ringer!" I think she played some kind of psychologist in the 1st; lived in New Orleans! I seem to remember she mentioned being the Mayor's "beard!"

Someone suggested they should have kept Bujold until the caretaker's displacement wave causes her death, and Janeway, despite being of low rank, is thrust into the captain's chair as the highest ranking bridge officer (science officer Janeway?). it would have added an interesting dynamic of Janeway being out of her depth, leading to more pressure from Chakotay wanting to take command because he had more experience.

"He's dusted, busted and disgusted, but he's ok"

It would have been a difficult transition to Chakotay due to him being a member of the Maquis and technically a terrorist! Janeway gave him authority and respect that he wouldn't have gotten or received from the rest of the crew! 
