Huh...

I can't believe no one else has ever commented on this show. Well, yes I can. I was the only one watching it in my junior high school. I guess I was the only pre-teen with any taste then. =)

I've been meaning to post something here for awhile, but couldn't think of anything worthwhile to say. I also used to watch this show in junior high. I specifically remember when this show came out when I was in 6th grade. I was also probably the only person in my school watching this. This is definitely the most unknown, overlooked, and underappreciated shows I can think of. I really wish I could buy this show in some form and see it again. I doubt they'd release a DVD set in a million years though.

By the way, there were a few other shows of this same style on around the same time as this. They are: "Ocean Girl", and "The Tomorrow People". Both of them were at least as good as this show. Have you seen them? Also, that show on Nickalodeon, "The Secret World of Alex Mack", was also, to a much lesser extent, like this show, but not quite as good as this and the other two I mentioned.

Hey, I am a huge fan of this show...at least I think I am. You see, for the longest time I kept having memories of a show that I could not think of the name of...it was really bugging me. I knew that the show aired on the Disney channel and I knew that it was a science fiction tv show but I still had no idea what it was called. All I remember is like these kids going to some island or something and then standing on this circular thing that would take them underground...under the sand and into their home base thingy. Well, anyway today (May 11, 2004) I saw a commercial for something that said Spellbinder on it...and it kind of triggered my memory I guess. I was hoping that this show is the one that I have been searching for and I am just asking that if you could point me in the right direction if this isn't it, or, if it is please tell me so. I really used to love the show that I have been searching for and it would mean a lot to me if I knew exactly what it was called. Oh, and also, I think there were like four or five teenage characters on the show..but I could be mistaken. Anyway, thanks in advance for any information you can give me.

The show you're looking for is "The Tomorrow People":

I mentioned the show in another post in this thread. I don't know which country you're from, but if you're from the U.S., then you saw it on Nickelodeon about 10 years ago. It's funny that you came to the Spellbinder board looking for that show, because Spellbinder was another show on the Disney Channel roughly around the same time, that had a somewhat similar theme. Anyway, The Tomorrow People was a really great show, and I wish I could see it again.

I'm 20. The show came out on the Disney Channel 8 years ago when I was 12, and I was in the 6th grade at the time.

I first saw this show in 1995 on ABC, when I was 11, so that makes me 19 now (almost 20). It must have been one of the greatest shows I have seen, I really miss it! Last saw it on Channel 9 in 1998.

Perhaps any Aussies who drop by here could suggest it to ABC to show 'em there's demand:

I loved this show as well as Ocean Girl. I was 9 when I started seeing it. I don't remember seeing the ending though but anyway I loooooooved it. Eventually the Disney Channel stopped the show and I started watching it in Spanish!!! It was terrible but I just had to watch the show. I was about 9 and I turn 20 this year!

I'm surprised that this thread is still here. Did anyone else watch this show in Middle School like I did?
