He mentioned that only weird Anime freaks hail this as a cinematic masterpiece. The type that never see the light of day and cry over Final Fantasy VIII.

Spoony was a former That Guy With the Glasses reviewer who got popular for the same reasons any of those people got popular. He was fired for misogynistic comments he made on Twitter about wanting to rape a coworker and then was later diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Spoony was a former That Guy With the Glasses reviewer who got popular for the same reasons any of those people got popular.

Consider many people who can't stand him and/or his comedy, and the rest of the gang are not even close to get as many watchings. Why any of those guys got popular again?

I know too much about this guy.

He even has a diamanda gallas weird ass spoof critic called "diamanda hagan", and he reviews.... something? and gets little clicks per video! So... why they are popular again?

I think Yazhtee (Ben Croshaw) of Zero Punctuation's praise really helped him gain popularity around 2007/2008. It certainly worked for me with his Bayou Billy and the Thing video game reviews.
