Most likeable character in P & P

My choice would be Elizabeth's aunt, Mrs. Gardiner. Part of the reason, I imagine, is that she resembles a lady I've known and respected for many years. But aside from that, the character seems to be someone who is very gracious and without airs, and who is genuinely caring and affectionate toward her niece.

She is a terrific character. Intelligent, refined, elegant. Definitely someone whom Darcy would get along with.

I didn't realize until just yesterday that she is the mother of another actress who appeared in the mini-series.

In this adaptation, yet. But not in the others. 

And kind and considerate. And a "nobody" to boot. The mere wife of a (successful) merchant who lives within sight of his own warehouse in the unfashionable side of town. She's the opposite of the Binglettes and Lady C. Austen was purposeful.
