Brain's Voice

I've been wondering for a while if anyone else thinks Brain's voice sounds like Vincint Price's voice? Is it deliberate? Or is there something I'm not hearing, because to me they are nearly indistinguishable. I always thought it was deliberate because Brain's voice was very low, forceful, and intelligent, much like Price's famous characters. But, I realize it could be a happy coincidence between the voices of Price and Brain (or Brain's voiceover guy). Anyhow, what do you guys think?

Maurice LaMarche has described the voice as "75% Orson Welles, 25% Vincent Price."

Yep!

I always thought he was a mix between Welles & Lorre. Especially his voice in Mr Moto takes a vacation

You have to watch the behind the scenes stuff on the DVD's. If I remember right, the fella said he was doing a combination of Price and The Late Great Orson Wells. Of course, I could be full of it...

I don't know about you, but I think it sounds an awful lot like Maurice LaMarche.... Hey, stop complaining. ALL of the voices he does sound like Brain in one way or another.

OK, all of the voices of which I know he does (Futurama, Simpsons, that i can think of) Besides, wasn't Pepe La Pew done by Mel Blanc?

Moe did Pepe's voice in Space Jam and the DTV "Looney Tunes: Stranger Than Fiction". And speaking of which, he's also the current voice of Yosemite Sam.
