Did the kids on the show have any grandparents on the show?

That does sound familiar. I noticed that sadly, few African American shows have families wiht four living grandparents. The Cosby Show is the only example I can think of.

I liked how on Roseanne, they ahd four grandparents in the saeson 2 Thanksgiving episode.

Well Groudned For Life only has three grandparents since the paternal grandmother is dead, and alot of the older sitcoms don't mention grandparents such as Leave It to Beaver.

I had to think about it for a minute, but I remember Jerri's parents show up a couple of times; (or was it only once?) Most Notably Nancy Wilson played Jerri's mom. Her and her mother were always bumping heads, I think because she wanted to be a singer but was never able to live out her dream. They had a touching moment at Jerri's Graduation when they sang together.

As for Robert's side - I am only remembering seeing his dad for that one episode, I don't remember his mom. But they never really mentioned their Grandparents throughout the series.
