Why did he continue to use the name "Thomas Veil"?

He's on the run and The "Organisation" is constantly looking for him and has major access to, well, everything and he thinks it's a good idea to use the name they know him by?

I get him already having lost everything and not wanting to lose his identity further, but at the same time it makes little sense if you're on the run.
