Greger's kidnapping and fish-dancing a reference to Reservoire Dogs?

In one episode, we can see Greger kidnapp the man in the porno-shop (Johan Rheborg). Greger takes him to some industrial facility, ties him upp, and does some kind of sexual dance including a fish(!).

Mustn't this be a reference to Tarantinos' Reservoire Dogs, in the scene where a policeman is tied and tortured?

The thought came to me today as I for some other reason was thinking of the song "Stuck in the middle with you" by Stealer's Wheel. This is played in those scenes both in Nile City and Reservoir Dogs. Also, Greger is dancing to the music while "torturing" the porno-man, just like in Reservoir Dogs. The two scenes are very similar also in other respects.

It is indeed a reference to said film, and there are numerous others:

- The guy with the "koreanska adoptivpäron" is named Lol Tolhurst, after the Cure's first drummer.

- The filmcritic is named Etienne Glaser, after a swedish stage actor.

- Gregers surname is "Hawkwind", after Lemmy's pre-Motörhead band.

- "Sudden", the deranged sports-journalist is based on an accutal person,
who comments trail, enduro and other motorsport events on swedish Eurosport.
(He's accutally from my hometown!)

it's true. Henrik Schyffert even said in an interview that the "Greger with a fish"-scene was a reference to Reservoir doggs when a stupid interviewer questioned the scene being funny.

I've never got the "Sudden"-reference.. who is Sudden spoofing? Maybe I was too young when he was about, or maybe I'm not that into motorsports.

Another Reference:
One interviewee in the Nile City Studio is called "Jan Gradvall" after the Swedish music journalist/reviewer with the same name.

The fish-dance is taken from the torture-scene in "Reservoir Dogs", but the kidnapping i think is taken from "The silence of the lamb". When the kidnapper asks the girl for help and she agrees, so does Greger with the pervert. Yeye, just my opinion.

Dessutom säger Greger (till Pastor Hannes, inne på kliniken) att han "döpt" honom till Mr Pink, ännu en ganska uppenbar referens till Reservoir Dogs...

Är du säker på att det är Pastor Hannes? Nog för att han ser ut som honom men det är inte samma karaktär. Samma skådis dock. Uhr.

Jo, har man sett Pastor Hannesscenerna, kan man inte undgå att lägga märke till hans högerben.. Ehrm, samma med killen på kliniken. Han sitter ju och kliar sig på knäskålen. Svårt att inte se att det är samma karaktär.

I think you're forgetting one the highlights of the show! Pelle Alsing, animal killer in the series, is actually a refference to Ray Montana Band drummer of the same name. I think he might have been drumming for the more famous Swedish rockband Gyllene Tider.
