I bought the 1st season of this show (impulse purchase - had never seen it before) and I really enjoyed it...best tv show i've ever seen. Is season 2 worth watching? I like LaPaglia so I dont think Benzali's replacement would be too upsetting. Is the quality still top-notch? I think I'm going to buy it but I'd like to know what people think first
Its not as good as Season One, but still very watchable and addictive.
Season 2 has three different stories, not just one long one. The third story is best (just dont read the leaflet in the DVD box before watching it, as it contains spoilers).
Yes, definitely watch Season 2. In my opinion, it was just as good as Season 1. I was completely caught up in the cases and was disappointed when it ended. I don't understand why this show only got two seasons. It was so well done.
Well, it looks like I'm the only one who's going to say don't bother. It was good, but suffered in comparison to Season One. Buy LaPaglia's movie "Lantana" instead.
While Season 1 was one of the greatest law tv-series ever, season 2 is just about average.
Season 2 suffers in characters, you really miss some of the actors from season 1 because the charisma just isn´t there in season 2. Also the writing is occasionally very sloppy in season 2.
I also think that season 2 gets better towards it end. I didn´t like the antiabortion message early in the season and the God stuff just isn´t my piece of pie.
All in all, season 1 was brilliant and season 2 is just ok. Just don´t expect too much from season 2 and it will be entertaining enough.
I purchased both 1 & 2, although I had not seen either since their original runs. Season 1 was better than I had recalled, but #2 was not up to the par. I much preferred the single case approach and the original actors, especially Benzali.
