Help me. Was this the first TVMA rated show. There was one on CBS a few years back and all I remember was a pretty gruesome (for TV) shot of a guy getting shot in the head. Is this that show??

No. There was never graphic violence in "Murder One".

this was on ABC in 1995

the V-Chip, for which the TVMA rating et al applies did not go into machines for another year or two.
