Where is Cry me a River?

I got McCallum from Netflix and the haunting theme is gone.Rather some guitar playing. What happened??

Don't know where Cry Me a River went, but do you know who sings it?

Try Youtube under mari Wilson. She has a beehive hairdo and is so dated..Song great

The beehive has gone ages ago. Check out the relatively new recording of "Cry me a River" on "The Rhythm Romance" or the Platinum Collection. Hauntingly beautiful and still the best version of the song around.

reply

try the Julie London version !

reply

The original and best version of Cry Me a River was recorded by English singer Julie Landon, who unfortunately died before her beautifully deep and caressing singing voice was widely known.

reply

I misspelled the name, it's Julie London who recorded the original version in her 'velvety' voice.

I thought I was going nuts when I remembered this as the theme-it's not my imagination!!why was it changed???

reply

Yeah same goes for the re-runs on UK Drama/ ITV 3.
It's a shame because that opening really set the tone for the films, and the dull guitar theme that's replaced it sounds straight out of a cheap library cd.
My guess is there was a rights issue, and STV didn't want to pay up, or couldn't get clearance for international distribution. But that's just a guess, either way it kind of ruins the show!
