S-S-SMOKIN'! The MASK IS BACK and my oh my it has been a long time!

Back in the mid-90s', New Line Cinema and director Chuck Russell originally wanted to make a direct sequel to the 1994 surprise hit, "The Mask", a fantasy comedy that launched the careers of Jim Carrey and then-unknown Cameron Diaz. Unfortunately that never came to be and the 2005 flop "Son of The Mask" was made instead.

This is a fan-written script on what The Mask sequel SHOULD have been about featuring the return of Stanley Ipkiss, Tina and friends.

Based on the Dark Horse Comics, the first movie and the cult Saturday Morning animated series.


SYPNOSIS:
With great reluctance, mild-mannered bank clerk Stanley Ipkiss once again releases his hyper alter-ego in this Action Comedy! Set five months after the first film, Edge City is under attack by a new crime gang, threatening both the 1994 Mayor Election and Stanley's relationship with his girlfriend Tina. To make matters worse, a bullying figure from Stanley's past returns and he wants payback! Personalities collide in this never-to-be-filmed roller-coaster sequel.


I found some typos and mistakes in the original script, so here is an updated and fixed version.
