litterally?

In the dictionary sketch on 3/28/09, the writers at Mad TV misspelled the word "literally."

It was spelled "litterally," and it was printed on the screen.

That's not even a common misspelling. I have never seen that word misspelled that way in my life by anyone.

This could indicate that the Mad TV writing staff is actually dumb.

And that's kind of weird, because usually you see comic ability correlated with intelligence. The funniest people are generally the smartest, and dumb people generally don't have great senses of humor.

I think I've got a theory for why the show has been not-so-funny in recent years.
