Experienced people and stupid mistakes

There are many, but a few of the main ones:
1) Call goes out to check on horses that mysteriously appear (could it be an ambush???), is shot, then his horse is shot, then instead of using the horse for cover and/or playing dead, he gets up and is shot again. Stupid & stupider.
2) Pea lets the railroad dude go and instead of using him as bait to take out Garza, he does... nothing. Railroad dude is wasted by Garza. Stupid.
3) In the boots for freedom trade, Pea shoots at Garza while on the run (instead of firing from cover in the far more accurate prone position) with a rifle and misses, is shot twice by Garza with a pistol at the same range, and then hits Garza at about the same range with a shotgun! In the words of Stallone in Cobra: "You're a lousy shot. I don't like lousy shots."

Then there was Mrs. Garza, who brought a gun to a knife fight... and lost. Stupid.

Good advice from old Charlie. And do look at Pea's gunfight with Garza.

First off, Pea was not the kind of man who would use another man as bait.

I do believe a rifle shot wings Garza before the charging Pea runs out of ammo and picks up the shot gun to fill Garza with some more lead. Garza is shown to be a coward by his behavior when not sniping an unsuspecting helpless victim, but rather facing a charging and firing foe... Garza runs away and his aim is not so good when being fired upon.

As for Maria, she brought no gun to a knife fight. She tried to save her children from being killed by another child of hers. She had no idea Joe would kill his own mother.

Lots of lasy mistakes all over this series...Joey wouldn't stand a chance against call of any during this time.

He would have been laughed at in every saloon or brothel.

And when it's just pea and that other guy. Joey sneaks up on the other guy, where was pea watching his back?
