I do not think I have ever uttered the "needs a remake" words, but I believe this story would benefit better with higher production values, acting and special effects that could not be given on the tv movie budget 20+ years ago.

Nah ... my vote would be for a " The Stand " remake ... or maybe not .. because I love the original .. It's coming on on Oct 31 on IFC .. but early in the morning .. in case you want to watch or record .

shareThey're saying MM is going to play Marten Broadcloak in the Gunslinger series/movie/serialized radio show. Technically he is also Flagg. Kind of.
But I've heard the Stand rumors too and MM would be an amazing Flagg. I debated staying up all night Sunday the 30th and watching the Stand in it's entirety and calling in to work.
Now that they are re-making IT and trying the Dark Tower I can see many more King remakes on the horizon.
One I'd like to see is the Tommyknockers. That's one of my favorite King books and the movie is beyond awful. When they have to right in a part for Tracii Lords (in a non pron role) you know the production is screwed. pun intended.
