I don't get why this is so popular....in Germany

Roy Thinnes has no lines. The film seems to be a collection of unrelated scenes. Go watch the original series if you can. I have. Then you will see why that series is rated at 8+ and this in the less than 5 category.....

I just saw a scene in which a child was playing with a biplane. It had a German insignia. Maybe that's why. Or maybe it's interpreted by the Germans as a metaphor for the neonazi movement. It's possible that any movie playing at the pub is popular. It's the beer goggles again.

I give this movie a 2.

Why does your signature have a couple of boobs and say, "Think about it." Am I missing something?

Because they're Germans...? From the same people who brought us Uwe Boll! What a piece of garbage this mini-series is! Total waste of time! Watch the original if you can find it. If you LIKE this remake...I have a copy of House of the Dead you might like <grin>!

This is not true. Near the beginning of the second half, after Bakula's character escapes with the kid in the towtruck from the hanger-like building, they pick up David Vincent who is standing at the side of the road. Vincent goes into this rant for a few minutes about his quest, suggesting, among other things, that Bakula is an "implant," but because Bakula was autistic as a kid, the mind-programming of the aliens is not working properly.
