Kim Wayans Is Annoying

I mean, she is just NOT FUNNY. Every damn show I see her in she is always over acting trying to get laughs out of her useless and over the top gimmicks. Its like she tries to hard to be funny. On in the house I have never laughed or even smirked at a single thing she has said. If it wasnt for Keenen she damn sure would not have made it to In Living Color and Im pretty sure the producers for this show could have pulled a hobo off the street to play her part.

I think she overacts a bit also. Maybe it is in the family genes, because her brother Marlon overacts in everything that he does....unlike Shawn and Damon, who are handsome and a bit more polished.

Nice to know I'm not the only one who liked this show, or even remembers that it was on the air! I always wondered why it went off the air on NBC, especially since one of my faves, the charismatic Debbie Allen, was starring on it. For some reason, it rarely gets mentioned when it comes to popular '90s shows, even though it was a hit on UPN for nearly 3 years, I think. I actually found Kim Wayans hilarious on this show---she gradually developed as a main character with LL Cool J (who was also funny in what was his first time headlining/starring in a TV show, and proving that he could act, too. He was still a hugely popular rapper back then) and even stole the scenes in some episodes. She had me cracking up with her antics half the time (like the one when her character makes a big deal about taking off her earrings while threatening to whip someone's a**.) I was actually kind of surprised that she didn't go straight into another good show after IN THE HOUSE ended, but that's how that worked out, apparently. One of the more memorable episodes was when the some of the original STAR TREK cast, including George Takai, did some guest spots on the show for a dream sequence---that was really funny and weird, too.
